Korean cellist Ye Jin Choi grew up in Europe, predominantly in Prague where she started the cello at the age of 7. From international concert halls such as London’s Wigmore Hall and New York’s Lincoln Center to intimate private venues, Ye Jin is at home with performances and audiences of all types. She has led the cello sections of various orchestras and as an avid chamber musician, worked with members of the Emerson Quartet, Juilliard Quartet, and the Beaux Arts Trio. Ye Jin’s former mentors include Vladan Kočí, Timothy Eddy, and Christoph Richter, and she has obtained degrees from the Juilliard School and the Royal Academy of Music. She is currently pursuing her Performance PhD at the University of Melbourne.
